Steventon Pre-School
Steventon Pre-school is a friendly, fun and safe educational setting for children aged two years nine months until they start primary school. Our aim is to enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age in a parent-involving, community based group.
Our sessions are for up to 22 children per morning session and 12 per lunch club and afternoon session. We are open for 38 weeks of the year, mostly coinciding with school term dates.
Our session times are currently 8.45 – 11.45 and 12.00 to 3.00, Monday to Thursday and 8.45 to 11.45 on Friday. Children wishing to stay all day can bring a packed lunch for a nominal charge. We hope to be able to offer more flexible hours shortly.
After registration, children play freely with the toys, games and table activities (these are changed daily). This is followed by time for a drink, snack and fruit with group discussion. We then play outside, weather permitting. All the children then come back indoors for singing, music and story time before being collected by their parent or carer.
We are currently fundraising for a new building which will transform our play space. We hope to build in summer 2010. Our new building will be a larger, more accessible, wooden clad building which will allow the children unrestricted access to an outside play area. Our staff will also benefit from better facilities! Watch this space for news! Please support our fundraising efforts by buying a personalised brick to act as a permanent reminder of your gift.
If you are interested in your child attending preschool, please call our supervisor, Audrey on 01235 820878 during opening hours.
